Where it all began
This is How Funkissd was Born
While in university, my husband Frankie and I started a little weekend business dressing up as characters for children’s birthday parties. After quite a few parties, I soon discovered that my future wasn’t in the spotlight. My singing and acting skills had their limits—but creating the world around the celebration? That was where I found my magic.
What would a campsite birthday look like? What tiny details would make a child feel like they had stepped into a whole new adventure? This is how Funkissd was born.

Every collection still starts the same way: with a blank page, a pencil, and an idea. Before there’s a cake topper, banner, or cupcake decoration, there are pages of sketches. Each collection is carefully illustrated by hand, bringing playful, imaginative celebrations to life.
Because birthdays are more than just a single day. They’re moments where families gather, memories are made, and stories begin.
In a world full of mass-produced products, I hope Funkissd is a reminder that art still belongs in our celebrations.
